Lungs like Apple and O

Florence + the Machine was recently recommended to me by a friend of a friend and ever since I created a F+TM Pandora station, I've been listening non-stop. Her debut album, Lungs, showcases her amazing pipes and they rival some of my favorites, like Fiona Apple and Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Crazy that such petite women can belt it out louder than Josh Groban on steroids. Oh, and the best part? She's a redhead. Anya Marina: badass vocalist / San Diego homegirl

I used to listen Anya on 94.9, then she went and got all famous. Now her songs are showing up on TV show soundtracks and even in one of the Twilight movies. Congrats Anya! San Diego loves you.
